Answers:

1. What do I get in the Computer Air Filter Kit?
The Computer Air Filter Kit comes with 4 feet of channel and a 24" x 16" sheet of air filter element. It's enough material to install on at least two computers. It installs in a few minutes and the filter element can be pulled for washing or replaced as needed. You get years of protection with each kit.

The protection provided by our system come out to a mere fraction of a penny per day. This is a very cost effective invention that protects hundreds of dollars of precious moving and heat sensitive parts. You'll be glad you made this smart investment for the benefit and safety of your computers and electronically related equipment. ORDER NOW!

2. What makes the Computer Air Filter design better then dust covers?
Dust covers only work when your hardware is turned off and the dust cover is actually placed over the equipment. Our filtration system works to protect hardware 24 Hours A Day.  Regardless if the equipment is on or off the filter element does not allow excess dust and dirt to get into the computer.

3. How often will I need to change or clean air filter element?
We suggest you clean or replace it as needed.  It really depends on the environment where your computer is located.  Some office locations have relatively clean work areas and the elements will not require as frequent cleanings.  If you are in a residential or industrial setting with high levels of dust and dirt you will need to clean the elements more frequently.  Since the dust and dirt is highly visible on the surface of the element you can easily tell when it's time to pull the element and clean it.

4. How will I know when to change my Computer Air Filter?
Since the dust and dirt is highly visible on the surface of the element you can easily tell when it's time to pull the element and clean it.  Watch for the build up of dust and dirt on the surface of the element.  It is better to pull, clean, dry and replace the element frequently to avoid the build of excess dirt and dust that may prevent cool air from getting into the equipment.

5. How do I install an Computer Air Filter?
Determine the air intake area of the equipment and then cut sections of the channel to frame the outside perimeter of the air intake area.  Remove the backing of the tape and apply the channel to the equipment.  Measure the inside area of the frame and cut the filter element to fit in the channels. Lift the outer edges of the channel and slip the element into place.

6. Will the Computer Air Filter overheat my computer?
No, the build up of dust and dirt is what causes the overheating of equipment.  If you never pull and clean the filter element you may cause overheating to the components inside the equipment.  This is the main selling point and convenience of our system.  Since the filter element is readily available on the outside of the equipment you can easily clean it and eliminate the build up of dust and dirt that causes overheating.

7. Do you have a warranty for the Air Filters?
Yes each kit comes with a limited life time warranty.  Below is a copy of the warranty we issue for each kit.

8. Are there other uses for this air filter system?
Yes there are hundreds of applications and uses for this system.  We have seen vending machine operators put the system on a soda machine in a beauty salon.  The air intake was getting all plugged up from the heavy dust, dirt and hairs in the salon.  The filter system prevented this and made it easy to keep the contaminants out of the vending machine.  Since the system is an instant cut and paste you can install it on any type of electrical or electronic equipment that requires clean cool air to pass through the inside of the equipment.

9. My computer has two fans in it which one do I cover with the filter?
Nearly all computers have an exhaust fan built into the power supply.  This fan usually sits in the back of the computer and blows the hot air out of the power supply into the open room.  You can tell this is the exhaust fan as you can feel the warm air blowing out of it.  You can also test it by holding up a piece of paper or string to see it blow the object away from the computer.  This exhaust fan is the one you do not want to cover with the filter.  The exhaust fan must remain free and clear of obstructions.  The second fan is an usually placed inside the case near openings so cool air will rush into the case.  You can test this fan with a small piece of paper or cloth and the object will stick to the openings on the outside of the case.  This is the air intake area you want to frame and put a filter element over.  Some computer cases will have more than one area with openings you may need to frame and cover with a filter element.  Cool air is designed to rush into these openings but without a filter system all the dust and dirt gets pulled along into the case.  Each piece of equipment is different and you need to identify each as needed.  Most modern computers have a third smaller fan that sits right on top of the main processing chip on the mother board.  These also get all clogged up with dust and dirt over time.  By framing off the exterior of the case's air intake passages you protect the intake fan, the main processor chip fan and the power supply exhaust fan.

10. Is there any visible difference from using the Computer Air Filter systems?
Yes and you will be amazed how clean and dust free the inside of your equipment will remain from using our system.  I first came up with this idea while working in an office that had several wood working companies near by.  Three different power supplies went down on our system's computers with in a matter of a few weeks.  All of the power supplies had a heavy build up of fine saw dust powder that caused them to burn out.  You could see and especially smell the burnt saw dust in the power supplies.  After installing the filter system and letting it run for many months we were surprised to see the inside of the case had no dust bunnies, fine coats of saw dust or other signs of obvious contamination.
